【R】気象庁のデータから地震の震源地マップ

気象庁が様々なデータを公開しています。その多くは、2次的に利用しやすい形で提供されているものもあります。この中で、日本で多い地震のデータをスクレイピングして表示してみたいと思います。2020年4月30日の地震データを取得して地図上に表示することにします。

最初に結果を示すと、以下のようになります。マグニチュードの大きさに合わせて円の大きさを変化させています。

驚くほど多くの地震があることがわかります。多くは人が感じることはないのでしょうが。これを見ると日本は地震大国であることがわかりますね。
